On Tuesday December 14, 2010, at 3.00 p.m., members (residents and staff) of the Golden Age Home(GAH) were on hand at their Auditorium to receive from the Royal Lodge (RL) our donation of goods and products to their Annual Christmas Fair to be held on the following day, Wednesday.
In the photograph from left to right are:Jacqui Brown (GAH Asst. Administrator), Michael Francis (GAH resident), Valerie Ventour (hon. sponsor), Henry Francis, Alton Carter, Leaford Fairclough (GAH residents); Delfreda Cammock-Thorpe (GAH Operations Manager). Laurie Ventour (sponsor) and Peter Hendriks (sponsor). The photographer - and missing from his own picture – is Christopher Powell (sponsor). Absent, with apology, is Capt. Andre Smith (sponsor). Leaford gave the Vote of Thanks, on behalf of the Home, to the Royal Lodge.
The GAH is just one of the sponsored beneficiaries (e.g. Best Care Foundation [Children’s Home], Bustamante C.H., Consie Walters H., J.S.P.C.A., Laws Street Training School, Shady Grove Basic School, St. Simon Basic School, etc.) of RL’s Charity & Outreach Programme. The “sponsors” are appointees/volunteers within the family of RL who undertake to keep in touch with the individual beneficiary and, inter alia:
The Administrator of GAH is Major Frank McCaulsky who is himself a member of the masonic fraternity. He had hoped to be present at the ceremony, but was unavoidably absent due to an exigency, of his office, which had arisen earlier.
